Great advice! I’m one month in and trying to remember that fact instead of being hard on myself! I have been very consistent but also I have a life too sooooo…. Sometimes the substack isn’t my top priority 🤣 but I’ve been pleased with my steady growth and hope if I keep at it I’ll feel the compounding effect you mentioned! I genuinely am searching for writers I want to recommend and hope that others are doing the same so I’m trying to share my authentic self whenever I can so those people can find me!

Based on what I have seen of your page, you’re doing it right! Your growth is so so impressive! Substack can take up a lot of time, so I love that you are prioritizing your life outside of it as well. Balance is key! Thank you so much for reading💗

I saved this to read later! I’m inspired by both your and @Kristin | For Stitch & Giggles posting these I want to read this and hope it will push me to turn this into something more than just why I started. Ugh so excited for you both!

You absolutely should! It’s scary to get started, but so worth it. I love watching you grow here!

Love reading about your journey and what it took to get where you are now. I haven’t been here for even a month but really enjoying this platform and trying to find my way… Super inspiring to see what you have achieved in 2 months!

Thank you so much! And I’m so happy that you are here and following along💗

Thank you so much for this advice! I’m new to substack and am trying to transition my instagram following over to here where I can be more transparent and raw with long form content. I’m tired of the Instagram algorithms and everyone doing the same thing to try and go viral- I want authenticity! This article really helped solidify that this is the right place to start 🫶🏼

So happy you’re here! And I totally relate to being “over” all things Instagram. I hope this article was helpful for you!

What do you think was the biggest factor in getting that multipler primed?

Lauren | Framework Living's avatar

I would say consistency. By the time I had a note get traction, there was a lot of content for people to see before deciding to subscribe 🙂

Two months in is the useful time to write this, before hindsight tidies the story up. The part I'd want to know is which of these you'd keep if you only had an hour a week — that's usually where the actual driver is hiding.

Thank you for reading! I’d say my number 1 is writing notes that I want to see. It helps give me the right perspective for my page!

Thanks for sharing this. I recently started scheduling a few notes because I won’t have consistent Internet access for a few days and I can see the benefit of this for sure as we have such busy lives.

Lauren | Framework Living's avatar

I love this! It really can be such a game-changer. Thank you for reading!

This was so helpful! Thank you!

Lauren | Framework Living's avatar

Of course! I’m so happy it was helpful!

It definitely was! Especially the reminder about consistency and staying authentic in your voice (I was having some imposter syndrome so it couldn’t have come at a better time!)

The line about people being able to feel when you're writing something because you actually wanted to say it versus writing for performance is so true, that's honestly the difference in every good note I've read. Really genuine breakdown, thanks for sharing this

I’m so glad you liked it! Thank you so so much for reading and replying💗

So real and digestible! Congrats on all your success so far✨ more to come, for us both!

Lauren | Framework Living's avatar

Thank you so much!! I really hoped that was how it would come across. Wishing you so much success on your journey💗

This is great advice!! The consistency with notes has been hard for me, I should schedule them perhaps. Do you aim for one or multiple notes a day?

Lauren | Framework Living's avatar

Thank you! I do about 7 a day. It might sound a little excessive, but that seems to be what’s working for me right now. Obviously, do as few or as many that works for you and your schedule💗

Anna Troyer's avatar

Wow!! Ok I need to step it up 😉 I’m still learning this platform and I guess have been comparing it to fb even though I know it’s totally different. But on fb if you did stories and posted once or twice a day that would be enough to keep the algorithm going. This is good to know!!!

This is all such great advice! Thanks for the ideas. I love reading everything you write and have loved watching your substack grow!

Thank you for writing this! As a new business owner, substack writer, and chronic overthinker this made me breathe a sigh of relief and brought me back to the simple but important basics. I just have one article up so far but am going to use these tips moving forward to motivate myself to create more!

Thank you for sharing what’s worked for you. I am still growing slowly and some days it feels like I am going backwards. But I know you are right about being patient, consistent, and have fun writing. Congratulations on reaching more people! 🥰
